Nick Morris was born in Fernie BC and spent all his childhood skiing, touring and hiking the local area with his family. His parents instilled in him at an early age, a love and respect for the mountains. He has worked in the Ski Industry over the past 20 years, including Island Lake Lodge, Valhalla Powder Cats, as well as Pro Patrol for Fernie Alpine Resort.
He is one of only a few certified ACMG Ski Guides in the East Kootenays.
Additionally, Nick has skied with the Canadian National Development Team and competed three times in the World Powder 8 Championships. He has taught Avalanche courses in the Elk Valley with several mines, colleges and ski operations seeking to learn from his knowledge and expertise.
Nick takes his guiding responsibilities extremely seriously; he is confident in the field and yet always has a sense of humor and passion for skiing.
